A little about Clarence:
I was born in Beckley, West Virginia then moved to Garfield Heights (near Cleveland) when I was 16. I came to Akron in the fall of 1980 to attend the University of Akron on a Track and Field scholarship. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Malone College. I became a firefighter in 1988 and moved up the ranks. In 2016, I became the Chief of the Akron Fire Department. My hobbies are track, golf, reading, and spending time with family.
