Favorite thing about Project GRAD Akron:

My favorite thing about Project GRAD is watching how passionate our Executive Director Jacqueline Silas Butler is about making sure the students that are involved in the program succeed.

A little about Annalisa:

I am from Youngstown, Ohio and am a 1974 graduate of Youngstown South High School.  I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Kent State University in 1977. I received my Master’s Degree in Urban Studies in 1980 and my Juris Doctor from the University of Akron in 1984.  I was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1984 and the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio on May, 14, 1983.  I was engaged in the private practice of law until my election to the bench of the Akron Municipal Court on November 4, 2003 where I still preside. I am the Presiding Judge over the Mental Health Court and I started a program for women on probation called Peace of Mind.

I am committed to the community and serve on many community organizations and Boards. I am married to Michael D. Williams and we have two adult children. I enjoy going to the theatre, line dancing, and decorating my house on special holidays.
