Project GRAD Akron's Executive Director to Keynote Law School Dinner

(Akron, Ohio).  The University of Akron Chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) will host their Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 15, 2017.  The event will be held at InfoCision Stadium, 375 E. Exchange Street, Akron, OH from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The Scholarship Awards program will honor The Honorable Randolph Baxter, retired Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio. The Keynote Speaker will be Attorney Jacqueline A. Silas-Butler, Executive Director of Project GRAD Akron.  Both Baxter and Silas-Butler are recipients of the Outstanding Law Alumni award from the University of Akron’s School of Law.

            The evening is titled “An All White Affair” and will include dinner and the awards program.  The President of the Black Law Students Association is Hanne-Lore Gambrell.  Tickets are $50.00 per person.  For additional information or to make a reservation, please email or Ryan Rhodes at
